Why do Julie and Leslie look so happy? Because w'eve just visited the Vienna Community Center. Happiness is an air-conditioned restroom.

There is something very disconcerting about running through the entire town of Vienna!

I have friends in a bunch of the other pace groups at our site! This is the "Jack Foster" group, which includes a mystery woman, Diana, Steve, and Britt. They're about a minute faster per mile than us, but since we got to leave a little while before them, it was right at the turn-around that they passed us.

This is the "Grete Waitz" pace group; I know Lisa and Kimberly (the two farthest on the right and in the yellow singlets from last year) from the 2001 program.

And last but not least, the "Libby Hickman" group. Barbara (on the far left) ran with us on occasion last year. This pace group is usually out there the longest but that really means that they're just working the hardest. Their high spirits are contageous!
