Sallie Mae 10K — May 22nd, 2005

Alas, the best picture the photographers took of me in the Capitol Hill Classic 10K was this one... and it wasn't even really of me. Not that it stopped me from blurring out the real subject of the photo. Clearly she's quivering with fear over the fact that I'm about to pass her. Yeah, that's it.

The photographers got this great picture of Tod, though, whom I ran the race with. Tod looks like this is just the warm-up for his qualifying run for the Boston Marathon. Super Tod!

Mark totally kicked my butt in the race, beating me by a solid minute. That doesn't sound like much, but in a 10K, trust me... it is! And then some!

Coach Christa's trying to look all incognito here with her "avoiding the press" hat, but she can't fool me. I know it's her as she cruises in towards the finish line.
