Almost across the Key Bridge! You may notice that this is a picture of my fellow runners's butts. After six months of training with them, you know everyone's butt on sight. For instance, I know that the woman in red is not someone from my run site, but then it's Scott, Lindsay, and Lisa. |

The water stop in Georgetown. Who's going to clean up all of those cups??? (Note: very treacherous to run across. Slick waxy paper, fun fun fun.) |
If you look over this bridge you can see where the course both enters and exists Rock Creek Park. What's great about that stretch is that since you essentially run out and then back, it's a chance to see people who are ahead or behind where you are, as you pass each other through the park. |
For instance, there goes Dave in a blur on the other side of the path, well ahead of us. |
Beth's not far behind, but there's this huge hand which keeps coming down and swatting her to impede her process. |
You never know who you're going to run into on the marathon! Silas has run the past three years like us, and it was a pleasant surprise to suddenly see him there. |
