One of the AIDS Marathon coaches (plus friends Dan & Emily in the gray shirts) shouts something encouraging like "You can do it!"

Pam responds appropriately to the words of encouragement. I'm not so sure...

...until I see the finish line. No, that's not a trick of the angle. At that moment my feet are not touching the ground, I was running so fast. Ah, the joy of adrenaline-fueled sprints.

I'm sure Pam is shouting, "Get back here!" as I abandon her in the last ten seconds of the race.
