Week Twenty-Two — 24 miles!, page 1 of 2

Roll call! East Falls Church in the house! (Debbie, me, Julie, Leslie)

We're looking remarkably chipper here, considering that getting to this point is normally just two miles in, but instead is a whopping eight miles along our route! (Joining us on the far right is Keef from Rockville!)

Woohoo! We're extremely excited because we've already passed through the town of Vienna and are somewhere around mile 13.5. (Leslie's look of determination is clearly because she knows we've still got just under 13 miles to go!)

Preparing to pass us at this point is the Jack Foster (13:30/mile) pace group; in the red tank top is my friend Britt.

Making sure she still looks elegant even on a sweltering day, Julie has decided to stick a flower into her hair.

We always see signs saying that runners and bikers need to yield to horses, but we'd never seen one on the trail... until now!

Steve and Britt make sure the rest of their group is still moving forward as they proceed, hand-in-hand.
