Madelyn and I are still smiling, but I am definitely listing to one side and I think that's really a grimace of pain on her face. |

Susan returns with a balloon of Winnie the Pooh dressed up as a bat. I'm not entirely sure what the symbolism of the balloon was supposed to be, but it was amusing. (Seconds later, Susan almost got run over by a car and wisely got out of the lane still open to traffic!) |

One of the hazards of taking pictures while running a marathon is that unless you stop, they turn out v-e-r-y b-l-u-r-r-y. This guy kept showing up to cheer us on, waving an AIDS Marathon sign that said "You Are Heroes" on it. It really lifted our spirits. |

Madelyn's family shows up! Well, a small fraction of them. I think the rest were busy forming multiple baseball teams or something. |
