I am so ready for warmer weather. Chilly run w/ Steve, Stephanie, and Ben, but good company. They’re definitely what keep me out there!

Ice Ice Baby

Start time: 2/25/2015, 5:38am
Location: National Mall
Distance: 6 miles
Average pace: 10:25 min/mile
Total Miles For February: 26 miles

A whole lot of starts and stops on today’s run. Been a while since I’ve been down on the National Mall on a weekday morning (January 15th!) and today reminded me why. Wintry weather means snow and ice, and while NPS does a good job of keeping it at bay as best they can, there’s only so much one can do, especially every time it creeps above freezing and then dips back down after the melt has begun. *sigh* I’m really ready for spring, now.

Back on the wagon, yet again

Start time: 2/20/2015, 5:00pm
Location: WSC Silver Spring
Distance: 6 miles
Average pace: 9:31 min/mile
Total Miles For February: 20 miles
Total Miles For 2015: 67 miles
Current Shoes: 162 miles

This has not been a good month for running. Yeesh. Bad weather, too much time sucked into work and school, and an inadvertent pulled muscle right before going on a trip somewhere warmer where I could have gotten some runs in. Ah well.

Zoo Time

Start time: 2/7/2015, 7:00am
Location: National Zoo, National Mall, Rock Creek Park, Connecticut Ave
Distance: 10 miles
Average pace: 10:31 min/mile
Total Miles For February: 14 miles
Total Miles For 2015: 61 miles
Current Shoes: 156 miles

Boy, that climb up the zoo was not a pretty one. Out. Of. Practice.

Warm Wednesday

Start time: 2/4/2015, 5:00pm
Location: Sligo Creek Park
Distance: 4 miles
Average pace: 9:38 min/mile
Total Miles For February: 4 miles
Total Miles For 2015: 51 miles

Just ended a little inadvertent time off on an unseasonably warm Wednesday. So much so that I did not dress correctly; definitely didn’t need that jacket and overheated a bit. Oops!
